I have a BioStar M7VKB, and everything seems to working fine. On the Biostar website it has an update for the BIOS that reads as follows: "Support VIA 686B south bridge". What will I gain by adding this?

Does your mobo have that 686B southbridge ?

That driver update is specifically for my mainboard model, so I'm guessing so...

I THINK the 686B Southbridge support will, if you have the 686b, allow you to use its extra feature, which i THINK include ATA100 support
