It's spelled 'vinyl'

Sorry to be the picky ****, but vinyl has the to be the most often misspelled word here in the water forums. It hurts my brain seeing 'vinal' and 'vynil' all the time.

When I was in grade school, spelling was stressed a lot, but I think that's changed in recent years. Either that or this new AOL/AIM generation with all the shortcuts in spelling (ie, "plz") has just dumbed people down.

Foreigners are completely excused in my book. But the Americans/Canadians etc... it just bothers me to see the spelling ineptitude so common. And it's not just a minor ineptitude either in most cases, it's pretty bad.

Dammit, you're making me want to pick up my old habits of being the grammar police again!

I am a very good speller, and I do not use MS Word for my forum posts. It's not laziness (you assume to much), it's just on a post of this subject, I wanted to be sure.

I type the word into Google, if its wrong, it'll correct me and show me links to the proper spelling
