Ive got a question

Alright here it goes i had my cable line plugged into my cable line. Today it stopped working i tried everything to fix it. I took my cable line out of my tv and plugged it in to my cable modem and it worked!!Then i took the cable line from my cable line from my cable modem and plugged it into the tv and it worked!! Why wouldnt the cable line work in my cable modem??

Dont' really understand your question. I think you said... your cable modem works when the cable normally connected to your TV is connected to the modem, but your cable modem does not work when the cable normally connected to your modem is connected to the modem. Does your TV work when the cable normally connected to the modem is connected to the TV?

ya it does when i switched the 2 cables they both worked fine
