hey guys, i have a watercooling block made to go on the northbridge chip, but the damned thing has a heatsink on it, i tried to gently twist and tug etc, etc to get it off so that i could thermal epoxy my waterblock to it, but I cant get the thing off! I'm sure if i pry hard enough with a screwdriver that it will come off, but what are the chances of ripping the chip out of the mobo with it or damaging the chip itself? Would i get anything out of epoxying the water block directly to the heatsink, or does it have to be mounted right agains the chip? if you know how to remove this thing, please let me know! I'm sure it is just generic thermal epoxy holding this thing on there.

ps- the chip cooler is the one made by becooling
