Spread Spectrum Modulated: Use this setting for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) reasons. If enabled, the system places a small jitter (or modulation) on the clock signals that causes the undesirable EM radiation to be spread amongst a broader range of frequencies, but at a lower level. Default setting is disabled.

What would I lose if I enabled this? Wouldn't less radition be better?

i read an article that praised it "dang cant remember where" if you do it at +05% or something you get a little more overclock on the fsb. if you really want to find out just run sandra and bench the cpu then reboot and enable it and run sandra again. see what the difference is if any
