I am working on an Iwill kk266+ motherboard for a friend. The northbridge processor has a cooling fan on this model. The one that is on there is going bad and I need to replace it. I bought a new one locally but now am trying to figure the best way to remove the old fan without harm to my motherboard. It has 4 plastic pegs holding it on the processor that go through the motherboard to hold on the other side.
My question is, is the only way to remove the old fan by taking the motherboard out of the case and pushing them throught the other side, or is there an easier way? The one I bought came with 4 plastic pegs also but these have springs on them similar to those that I've seen on video cards and am not sure if these will suffice to replace the old pegs.
Thanks for any and all help.

Kevin

P.S. My friend and I have dubbed this motherboard the "Iwon't" cause we've had nothing but obsticles since he bought it. :D
