Can Someone explain DRAM Page-Mode to me? Doesn't seem to bench better one way or the other. Using Crucial Cass 2-2-2 at 5 setting. 4 way interleave.
 
Page mode provides faster access to external memory. Typically, as you execute instructions from external program memory (EPROM), instruction fetches read addresses sequentially. Since the upper address lines do not change as frequently as the lower address lines, the upper address byte is not re-latched until it changes. This means that data fetches faster because ALE doesn't toggle as much.
