The "thing" in the bios allows you to overclock the Front-Side Bus (the board speed) is the same as overclocking a P3. Unlocking the processor (by connecting the L1 bridges) allows you to change the multiplier of the processor. FYI- Processor Speed=Board Speed(FSB) x Multiplier (remidial overclocking for the newbies). If you didn't already know the (software) options in the bios that allow you to change the board speed(FSB) do the same thing that we used to do in the old days by moving jumpers on the board, you kids today have it so easy, in my day we had to hook up jumper cables to the board for extra voltage and solder the cpu to overclock, just kidding!
