I have a linksys 4 port but they are all pretty easy to set up .every thing you need to know should come in the direction..should be up and running in a half hour or so..

yes! u certainly could run a router to share the cable modem w/ all ur machines. (well, who don't?!)

and i have a Linksys wireless AP + Router w/ 4 ports Switch. they are fairly easy to setup even if u r not in networking field.

basically, just enter the exact same info in ur PC's network setting to the router's setup page (mostly web base). and set all ur PC to obtain an ip address, so that it will look for a connection (from the router) instead of trying to use it's own.

good luck, and happy browsing w/ ur cable. ;)

All of this information was easily available in my sticky at the top of the forum. You could have saved yourself a bit of time by reading that first.;)

I have a small question:

It's the wall-plug > cable (ADSL in my case) modem > router > PC

OR

Wall-plug > router > PC ?

I mean : do you need to have a modem between the router and the network or just a router?
Thanks
