I am new and have only just begun to understand the jargon and the specs. Originally Bought a DELL 700 XPS, (2006), and found out that my system was out dated. But , I went forward and was able to get dell to replace where they were at fault and along the way I was able to upgrade my system as well to a 720 H2C system inside a 700 shell. I was just curious to what My system that I have worked so hard to get up and running stable would rate among the experienced computer crowd. thanks any comments would be welcome.

Pretty decent setup... word of advice, so much information is not necessary, just the basics is generally plenty, cpu, ram, mobo, psu, gpu, os and drivers... that pretty much covers it....

More importantly are you happy with your system? what monitor and res do you use it for? gamer...? can you post a CPU-z screenie of your OC? just out of curiosity for myself...

oh and :welcome:

I do game on occasions; I like Microsoft Flight Simulator, I just have not installed it onto the computer yet. Like I said in my original post " I just got it stable" and want take things one step at a time before I load anything major as far as games go. I use the computer as a way to learn the latest and new components, software. I am currently going to school full time + I have 4 kids: twins (1yr G&B), 3yr old daughter, 8year old step son. So as you can see my time experimenting with computers are limited.

Yes, I do have a CPUz that I can post, but, when I tried to use the url it did not take Hmmm. Here it is.....http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=481907.

I am sorry for the overwhelming amount of information, I know that when it comes to programs and components that compatibility is a very big issue and I just thought maybe some one could make use of some that information concerning software and drivers for vista.

Alright now for the res, and Monitor, if you could please explain what exactly you want as far as information. Again I am just learning the jargon.

Monitor is a Vizio VW37L HDTV 20A
Resolution 1366 x768 @ 60Hz.

If I recall correctly it is 16(multiplier) but do not quote me on that. CPU voltage; I am not sure but I know in the BIOs it does not have that option so I would say it is auto. It only changes when the multiplier changes. If anyone knows for sure please feel free to correct me. I want to know as well....

extreme series cpu's have unlocked multipliers, so can go very high... think my 680i allowed a multiplier of 60, which is just silly....

I think it has to do with the bios; Dell bios limit me to 16
