Just me? Poor performance on any driver above 566.xx

Evga 3070ti
7800X3D
b650e Taichi mainboard
32gb trident Z at 6400
a few gen 5 nvme
win 11 24h2
Games run at 1080p no vsync. have never run vsync since 1999

ok, any time i try and install a driver above version 566.xx (i.e. 57x.xx) my performance tanks in any game

I've been playing the finals a lot lately and it went from 200+ in the menu ~175 in game depending on whats going on with driver version 566.32 to 30-50 FPS on any of the 570's
Tokyo xteme racer same thing
Hunt Showdown same thing
Forknife same thing
everything same thing

this has even persisted after a clean install of windows 11 (new gen 5 nvme boot drive) multiple versions of windows 11
clean install each time but going back to 566.xx fixes it.

any ideas?

not just you, it any driver above 566.36 is causing problems.

Rolling back to older drivers seems to be the only fix for some.

after reading that and other posts on reddit, i went to 566.36. NV is dropping the ball with drivers with the newer cards. This is the start of going down hill. a few new drivers out but they still seem to have issues. wtf is going on over that multi billion dollar company! O wait that's right, they are all in on AI now, FFS.

Running the latest on my 3070Ti and 4070Ti, no problems.

I was having issues with newer drivers past the 560.xx. Running 551.86 with no issues for the last 3 months.

No issues here with the RTX 4070 Super and RTX 4080. I assume it just happens in some games, as most patches mention specific titles. It's also possible that I don't notice a difference in games (I only play a few of them) when I already have 100+ FPS (RTX4070S), but I still run tests for reviews on the RTX4080, so I would see it.

I'm currently on 572.70 and haven't touched it. After the amount of folks saying they're having issues I've had none at this version.

i am wondering if its also related to 24H2
24H2 caused so many problems at work we halt to halt its installation

those of you running something above 566.xx on windows 11 what version of windows are you on?
