hey guys just wanted to let you know i just received 4 Motherboards (2 w\ sdram) (2 w\ DDR).

And 10 .13 micron engineering sample Cpu's(to start out with, i will be getting more later on(thourobred)

Eventually we will get some clawhammers to play with

this is for my hardware reliability class at my universtiy that i had talked about before

i'll keep you posted on the outcomes, but i have to be careful what i say because a confidentiality paper i had to sign with AMD

later guys

oh ya, im a intel guy lol

it may change after this, the outlook looks good on these

Well, besides all the normal questions, can you tell us what your NOT allowed to say?

You are one lucky overclocker. Is it within the terms of the agreement to let us know how high those will overclock? I hope not!!!!!!

yummmmmmmmmm....<drooling> how are they! DO THEY KICK SOME @$$ or just suck?! WE ALL MUST KNOW!!!

Spec

well, we start testing next week

i know that when i went down to AMD they ripped me when i was talking about overclocking

i didn't even say overclock, i hinted to it by certain things, they told me that their chips can't be overclocked, not since the K6-2 lol lol

what they don't know

the real info is the fact that we will know what boards will support the .13 micron, and it seems everyone wants to know right now

that was one thing i can't release right now

i guess manufactures want to clear their old inventory, because if everyone found out that a board needed revision to work, most the older stuff would not sell.

Well 0.13 micron should be better for overclocking than the 0.18 micron process. And people overclocking there 0.13 p4s 800 mhz with a stock fan or a good indication.

hmm witch numbers cant u tell us? it would be intrestesting to see what the model numbers are so we know how many more steps we have to wait for b4 they come out to the public

My sig was too long, but now I am now in compliance with the rules

Well if you are going to protest then I geuss this is the way to do it. Funny, very funny...:D

well, if you know anything about the engineering samples of Intel, you could assume the AMD chips we have are teh same

hint hint

no i dont would u mind enlightening me;)

Let me refraze (sp) it. Does anyone know if they are cut on the Intels? I suspect not on engineering samples but would like to know if Intels are cut....anyone....

Usually the samples are not locked, so he can change the multipliers if the boards allow it.

When does your NDA lift? Are you allowed to tell us that>?

These new throurobreds should be pretty good for overclocking right? Since they are 0.13 micron

don't really know when i can talk, but im sure it wont be until AMD pust out their numbers first

i don't want to **** them off, them i can't test the bartons and claw hammers
