I'm at work now trying to get this freakin board to pickup this maxtor HD but it doesnt want to at all. When I get to the windows install it says it cant find any hard disks. My question is, can I only use the SATA connectors if im using RAID? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes you can use one SATA drive

load the raid drivers like they said during the windows xp install cd boot. after you load windows onto the formated drive you have to create a stripe raid array to use the drive.

My K7N2 DELTA ILSR board doesn't recognise my 80GB MAXTOR SATA HDD?

I have had the same problem. I installed the drivers that came with the board at the windows xp professional install stage but it still comes up saying no HDD detected. This is my 1st custom built pc and I've run out of ideas - any suggestions?!?

SPECS: MSI K7N2 DELTA ILSR motherboard
512MB PC2700 RAM
DVD/ CD-RW Drives + floppy drive
80GB MAXTOR SATA150 HDD
650W PSU
SATA POWER CONVERTER CABLES
ATHLON XP2500+ WITH UNLOCKED MULTIPLIERS
RADEON 9600 PRO graphics board

Please help!
Also which floppy disk has the correct drivers on G72-PRSA050 or G72-PRSA060? I tried installing the drivers from both disks and still get no HDD detected.
