K7T266 Pro 2 and 750 Athlon

I have the above listed and was going to put it together for Use as a second computer. I already had the 750 and thought it would work. The processor works fine in my other computer but it hands on this board ( according to the D-LED's ) I read on the box of the MOBO that it supports Athlon Duron Athlon XP from 800 to 1800+. Now Im not simple and I do Know that 800 is bigger than 750 but is it so that the board realy wont support this proccesor? Usualy a board will accept slightly smaller chips!?
Any way if it dosent accept it I will buy another PROC. if it will could someone shed some light for me as how to make it work.

it depends if the board supports a 7.5 multiplier
if not you can run the 750@800 by using the 8x multiplier if u can get it into bios to change it

if not youll have to find another cpu
