Just got my new system put togather, but cannot even get it to POST!!!! Below is current set up:

IWILL KA266-R
AMD 1.4Ghz AYHJA
512MB PC2100 DDR
2 IBM 20Gb, 7200rpm HD's
GeForce 3
Generic CD/Floppy

When I turn it on, the fans work and the power light comes on, but nothing else happens, and I have to reach arround back and use the power button on the power supply to turn it off. Does anybody have an idea as to what it may be????

take off the hsf carefully and look at it closely for any chips or cracks on the core. do you see any? second make sure everything is seated well. what hsf are you using and you better not say anything with orb in it.

Re-seated the HSF twice last night, no cracks or scorch marks. It's the Glaciator, so it's a good one. Used lots of Artic Silver 2.

Had more or same set up as u m8. get rid of" Iwill". ive tried 2 different ka266r boards and they are totally unstable and unreliable,i just finished installin my new Epox 8k7a and man is it stable with good overclock features such as cpu ,fsb and voltage adjusts and is rock sloid when 0/c.
Epox 8k7a+

Hm... I thought KA266-R only support up to 1.2?
Anyways, i bought a KA266-R before and it didnt boot up eventhough i tried every ways. I finally returned it for a new one (another KA266-R) and just got it up and running on my FIRST try last nite. Dont know how stable it is yet though.
P.S. Lots of people in the past here suggest KA266-R, hm.... Wonder y foggy hates it that much! :D

Make sure that both your CPU and RAM are seated properly. I had some problems similar to that with mis-seated RAM on IWill boards.

Also, make sure your ATX power cord is properly firmly inserted into the MoBo.

I love the IWill MoBo...I haven't had any problems building systems out of it...at least nothing like the KT7A...

Re-seated ram and CPU three times, no good. I am going to try to RMA both the CPU and the mobo because I don't have another mobo to test the CPU to see if it is bad or not. It is just anoying that after looking and reasearching for almost a year, somthing like this happens.
