Ok, just got my system put together, contents listed below, and all I get when I start it up is a lot of long beeps, last time I stoped at 15, but it was still going. It's a long beep with a long pause. Does anyone know what type of error this is???

AMD 1.4 GHz
512 Mb PC2100 DDR
Asus V2800 GF3
2 IBM 20Gb HD's
Generic CD and flopy

just keeps beeping! weird try just your video and one good stick of ram and see what happens. also just have the power lead on no other things and make sure it is on the correct pins. good luck and keep us posted on how it goes.

I have tried evrything in the book, tried each stick of ram in every slot, tried two different vid cards (one agp, one not), tried with and without hard drives, and any other drives for that matter, and nothing works!!!! Is there a chance that the board is fried, and that's its way of telling me????? This is so frustrating, and it would be such a kicking machine, if it would just work for once :)

I got the same problem before and i pissed me off for a whole week long. Turned out it's the motherboard. After I traded in that one for a new one, it post up on my first try!
Good luck
