Why the hell would you have to install all the bios versions? Just update straight to the latest unless it specifically says you cannot.
I don’t know, that’s what ASUS told me though.

In the end I needed my computer up and running for work etc and went with what I knew. The original BIOS etc as I’ve never had an issue. Would be nice if ASUS provided a change log one could read!

Must be some misunderstanding there. Also they do have notes regarding changes as much as any manufacturer does.

Maybe the person didn’t understand- though I don’t see how. I asked very specifically.

Where is their changlog? I see a short description of 3 sentences or so on their site below the BIOS link.

They would specify if it has a pre-requisite
Meaning, before you can install the most recent, there would be mention to install a previous version, yes?

Good to know if so as the rep didn’t mention this.

The level of paralysis by analysis is crazy in here, lol. A windows install with bios update and drivers takes like 30 minutes! :)

Install intel me and chipset, wifi, lan, gpu drivers.

Like janus said, if there are prerequisites, it would say as much. You can read the bios versions notes from yours forward, but I doubt there are any. Update to the latest bios.

when I read, and hear conflicting information across the net, the vendor on a process that I haven’t done in eons it requires a level of ironing out details to make sure mistakes aren’t made. 😉
