oh and i will have you note, my GRAW is not DVD, its 4 regular CD's....odd coincidence dont u think?

Okay I dont know if I should be suggesting this but I think it would go a long way in trying to figure out the problem... Try getting a no-cd crack for the games that are on DVD. Or try to copy the image on your hard drive and run off of that. Maybe if the game doesnt read the actual drive it might not crash.

This is confirmation though that computers are sometimes posessed by demons! Seriously, at first you werent able to get past the menu on the games and now you can get 15 minutes into it just because you F&Red? I have had weird stuff like this happen to me and the only explanation is... DEMONZZZZ!!!

you know what the most frustrating part about all of this is, the reason i bought this card was about i just got home from the hospital from getting a kidney transplant, im gona be sitting around for a while until i heal up so i had my mom go out and buy some games to play, and i knew my geforce 4 would never handle new games so that night i had my bro go out and just buy a new card in best buy rather then save money and wait for it to be shipped to the house.... and look what i get, i cant even play most of the games yet cus of this crap.

oh my god dude... im sorry... this must be the worst week of your life. You should write nVidia and tell them to give you a full refund. Thats just ridiculous. To have that many people have the same problem and nVidia not have a solution and leave people in the dust. Just tell them flat out, they need to fix the problem, give you your money back, or you will go out and buy an ATI and never purchase an nVidia again for fear that you will get a defective product and poor customer support.

Again I cant imagine the world of crap you are in right now. PC gaming is a huge part of my life and if I was in your situation, I would be devastated.

lol its not the worst week but it certain qualify's as a bad week :bday:

Here is a shot in the dark. Take the cover off the PC. Aim a house fan into the case and see if the freeze ups stop. If they do, then you have a heat sensitive part in your PC.

You need not worry about it anymore lol i took the thing back to best buy an hour ago, apparently they been getting ALL of them back that they been selling so it was no problem with giving me my 215 dollars back. Gona look for somthing different now.

yeh this whole situation has got me confused as hell, because i did everything under the sun to try and fix it with no luck, and the fact that it got better after the reformat confuses me even more. Either way i got a new motherboard and new PCI-E 7600 GT this time for less money then i paid at the store. Let this be a lesson for people to steer clear of those AGP 7600 GS models.

btw, new specs in my sig
