just a reminder i guess, but i left my tub cooler for about a month and my temps had risen to 53 C! IDLE!!!
this was sacary! so i tor apart my water cooler and found a horror! The inside of my modded orb water block was almost cloged with aquatic life :(. ( keep in mind that this was an open water cooling system). Well after numerous attempts to clean out the junk, I finaly just got out the drill and made the hole in the orb about 0.001 MM bigger. After all this i wasn't going to let it go to wast so I bought new tubing, connectors and gave the pump impeller housing a good scrub. Doing all this brought my temps back down to safe limits 47C idle and 51C load. Now that i have learned my lesson i replace the water in my tank every week and add 2 cap fulls of bleech to the water (keeps it very clean for a while ). one last thing! the temps reflect a Duron 700 @ 1125 (7.5 * 150) with a 2.5 Vcore :). a 15" fan constantly blows on my water so it adds to the aquatic life problem :(
