I'm so tired of reading everywhere that this ram or that ram or whatever ram WON'T work in the freaken nforce 2 mobos!!!! I was "hoping" to be buying 2 sticks of hyper x Kingston 512 PC 2700 ddr ram, but now hearing it crashes everything when installed, I decided not to. So I went looking at Crucial ram, SAME FREAKEN PROBLEM!! then off to Corsair, same problem!!!. and I can't spend a lot of money on RAM. The hyper X series was 70 bucks per stick, thats good for me. I can't go over that well maybe 75 per stick, but still this is getting ridiculous!! Why can't anyone fix this stupid ram problem?? Can anyone show me to a good ram brand where i can get 2 sticks of 512 PC 2700??? Thanks, and sorry for typos, but this is getting ridiculous!!!'

Also I was very escited to get the kingston hyper x series, it fit my budget and had good performance. Now to get hwat I want I just may have to get the epox 8rda+, I didn't want to becuase the specs said it can't support even a 2500 barton (my CPU). Anyways, please help and reply!!!

I am asking this for a friend, he needs help with this.

I just ordered 2x256 sticks of Corsair Value Ram 2700. Very cheap... Amazingly they are doing 428mhz right now in dual channel mode on my 8rda. I just got this board this week and the memory today.. 214 FSB and possibly rising, been running prime95 for about 6 hours now.

7-3-3-2.5
I havent tried lowering them any... i wonder if it would be better to have a lower FSB and faster timings.

I found out if i got above 214 it is not stable with vdimm of 2.77.. if i put it up to 2.90 i can raise it more and it passed through prime95, is this safe voltage though?
Also i am wondering what kind of chips are on these things.. they have a large S symbol and say AE 0317 s80032VMCTW.. i have no clue what kind of chips these are.

Ok The only problem comfimed is the HYperX series with an Nforce 2 board and it must have an A1 stepping. Grab the corsair. I use PC3200 and can get 200FSB easy with an ABIT NF-S vers2.0
