I'm creating a CD so that I will have everything I need on it (driver and program wise) when I put together my system. I'm doing a clean installation on a new hdd.

Here is what I have so far:
Via 4in1 driver
VIA USB filter driver
Microsoft VIA USB driver patch
Direct X8.0
Radeon 4 13 7075 driver

Anything else I should add?

Also, I'm planning on using Windows 98SE but I only have Windows 95 full edition and the Windows 98SE upgrade. Will this cause any problems with my new system when I do 2 OS installations in a row?

I've read the KK266 Faq and have a pretty good idea of the order but i want to hear about personal experiences and suggestions.

Any info on installation order would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Amiel

please let me know how it goes with your install.
I did the exact same thing and the Microsoft VIA USB driver patch...keeps erroring out on install.
please read my post on the problems I am having.
followed the fac to the letter on install and still problems.

I would also download the latest Iwill Bios update (non-extracted) on the CD. Remember to keep it non-extracted. Though it should have only one-time usage, I would suggest it for anyone who is in the building mode.

People who like to work on their cars, should have their own tools and nearby.

WRT WIN 98SE upgrade, I think it is possible to make a WIN98 boot disk (on another system), and then to simply install 98SE. At some point you may be asked to insert the qualifying product disk (95 full install), but there should be no need to install 95.
