Vapochill is stupid IMHO. Its too expensive for sub zero temperatures. Koolance is too weak and minor for water cooling.

What I'd recommend would be the DangerDen Kit w/ like a 220watt peltier. That will get you beyond sub zero and at least you saved alot of money from either Koolance or Vapochill..

I've always preferred air cooling.....largely because having water in my rig scares me a bit:eek:

But I am planning a new rig that is to be built soon, very soon: I have been split between Xeon and MP (it will be a duallie), but I am leaning towards the MP more and more.

Since it MUST be quiet, if its AMD it will have to be cooled by something other than air!

I'm getting to the point here- stick with me.....

While having a pm discussion about this with another OC.Com member, he suggested I look at QPower from Swiftech. And it looks good!

IMO this would be the best way to go.. if you think about it..
Case=100
430w psu=100
bench psu=80 (get em cheap off ebay)
220w pelt= not sure i think there under 40 ?
WB/pump/tubing/etc=250 at most

just an idea, not actual priceing, just top of my head, but that would get you the best case, psu's, and water setup for about the same price as a vapochill, and gives you better options.

One of my friends has had both Koolance cases, and is currently running the P2C model with the radiator on topo. It runs quiet, reliably, and has very good performance. It may not be the most powerful system, but it's a good deal if you want a water cooled computer and don't have the time or urge to hack your case. Refrigerated systems cost too much for the person who just wants some better temps without too much money.
