Hey I just ordered the CHC-A09 GPU cooler

Any tips or advice for GPU HS removal I have a 9800 but it should be very similar. Did anyone remove the shim off of the video card?

I have never removed a GPU (or even a NB hs) HS before so I am a newbie.

Any advice will be very appreciated.

If this should be in the ATI group sorry but I figured since it is about WC the GPU I thought I would post here first.

Installing a WB on a 9800 is a piece of cake. The shim on them is a little lower than the core, so there's no need to remove it. Just take some pliers, and remove the the clips holding down the stock HSF.
