Those of you who use your box for business may appreciate this. After some time with the support folks at Matrox, I learned the following. No Matrox 400 series card will work in an Abit KT7 Raid unless PCI slots 1, 5 & 6 are empty. This kind of stinks, if you have 4 PCI cards as I do. The KT7-R allows you to use PCI slot 6 or the ISA slot. The folks at Matrox don’t believe the ISA slot will cause a conflict so I’m off to Costco to pick up a Zoom ISA modem. If it works, I’ll post the results. In the meantime, should you be considering a Matrox card with a KT7-R, be aware of this problem.
