Yep, a midtower'll be fine. Any case should fit it, providing it accepts an ATX form factor board (which they all do) - the advantage of a larger case is the extra room for hard drives and cd drives, and the larger volume of air inside it (so your cpu runs cooler, as the case doesn't get as hot).

thanks for the response!! mobo and processor should be here today and i cant wait to see them.still saving for a video and audio cards.every component seems to be a najor undertaking(reading and comparing reviews)this was a great help!
