I have just got a 256Mb stick of PC150 cas 2 from Corsair. I plugged it in and got this error when booting into win2K
"cannot run widows system32/ntoskernal.exe is missing or corrupt"
Yet when I run my old ram PC133 128Mb cas 2 win2K works fine.
The PC150 is double sided, would this be a problem in a KT7A? or do I just have a broken stick?

Remember that PC-150 memory does not 'officially' exist and it is in fact PC-133 (133mhz) RAM tested to run at 150 mhz ( PC133 was the last official SDRAM standard) .. however there are situations when the RAM may not run at the 'claimed' speed.. try turning your FSB down and seeing if that helps

I've played around a bit more and it looks like this corsair PC150 suffers from the same incompatibility problems with the KT7A as the Kingmax PC150. Dang another RTM !!!

are u using sp2? if not do so with your good stick , then try your 150. check msn for hot fix? Also I would guess that you could do a clean install with that 150 and your prob would go away?, do u have a spare drive to test?, Oh did u set back to default with this new stick, and see if u boot, then try to oc from the new confg? If u get it to work post I would like to know.
