Problem : reading is fast but writing is very slow. Writing operations are completed with very little blocks and sleep time between each block write. It takes several minutes per mega !
No data corruption. No system error.

OS : W98
4in1 drivers : 4.28 & 4.31
BIOS : WW and now WZ (because water-cooling and CPU fan protection)
I downloaded ZT version but I'am not sure it will solve my problem.

IDE drives :
------------
IDE1 :
Segate UDMA66 20Go 7200
Segate UDMA33 4.3Go 5400

IDE2 :
ZIP-100
CD-ROM Mitsumi 4x

Sound Card : Sound Blaster 16 Value (ISA)

Any idea ?

Per Iomega:

The Zip 100 ATAPI Drives will not properly work at this time with the VIA VT82C(686B) Chips.
This also affects motherboards with the KT133A core logic chipset. There is a Timing issue
between the Chipset and Iomega Zip100 drive. This is an issue with the newer Zip 100 ATAPI
Units. It does not effect the Zip 100 with the 23.D firmware (the first firmware the drive was
released with), the Zip ATAPI 250 drive, nor external drives. At the current time Via is working on
a patch that will correct this problem. You will want to keep checking their site for that patch at
