If you order before 1pm monday, overstock.com will ship by xmas, and it's free on a lot of items. I just ordered a white gold cross pendant for only just under $150 with shipping there, and they seem to have pretty good deals. I posted about this in gen discussion, thought I should mention it here. Still, free express shipping saves you about $20 right there, and its guaranteed by xmas. There was a lot of cheap pendants, and jewelry, I might actually order something else pending my current account balance. :-/

I retract my support for overstock.com, my first order went through great, but my 2nd one didn't. The item was listed with express shipping, and in fact was the first item after clicking the express shipping link. It was ordered with ground shipping. I emailed them right after that, and now they said call this number. I called it, asked them to either cancel my order so I can reorder it with added express shipping or just add express shipping to my order. They said sorry, we cannot do that, they said the ad is misleading, and appologized. All they offered was $5 off my next order. So now I wasted $90, and my mother isn't getting a present for christmas from me. Well she will, just 5-10 buisiness days after.

Overstock.com = fraud with their free shipping. If you want express shipping you have to add it for extra like I did with my first order.

*edit* Their page was updated, after I ordered and received email from them. Is there anyway I can go through my page cache to get a screenshot to send to the FTC?

Unless you deleted your cache it will still be in there. There is only one way I know how to find it and that is to sift though all your stored web pages. Just make the html the first on your list in My Computer, shut off your internet connection then click on each page one at a time. I know it is time consuming but its the only way I know how :-/

I tried that, but overstock.com is all cgi based :(. I have a print screen of the misleading ad, but not the actual one that says free shipping by xmas. The misleading ad is here, http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?SEC_IID=1372&PAGE=STATICPAGE&PAGE_ID=1307, the $89.99 earrings are the ones I wanted. They were listed $89.99 with the little shipping tag above them, but now they are listed $81 without it.

Well damn thats no good :( Without proof there's really nothing you can do. To make you feel better. I haven't sent out any of my presents yet, have to do that tomorrow ;)

I got all my packages on time, just barely on time. Word of advice, when Fedex means guaranteed express mail, they mean, it will be late, and its your job to drive to the shipping warehouse to pick up your package. I hate them, this is the 4th time they refused to deliver to my apt on time. Plus the guaranty means nothing as Fedex told me they will not compensate for the lateness.

I had alot of trouble with Fed-Ex until I went down to the shipping warehouse and complained about my driver. After that everything has arrived in a timely fasion just as expecte. Usually early:)
