Last of Us for PC - Controller or KBM?

So, I will be picking up Last of Us PC release.

The game was made for console. My question is for those who've played it on console. Did you ever feel as if the game would be better with KBM or is controller the best? I can go either way.

I haven't played that game on PC but I picked up Days Gone which is very similar and also a console game. I played it fine with mouse and keyboard but it was much more fun with a controller.

I think the bigger question would be is aim assist also ported over?

If yes, controller. If no, mouse and keyboard.

Edit that; I setup my Microsoft Strategic Commander with Logitech G502 Hero mouse. Aiming with the joysticks was hard…
