okay, i guess this goes in video section. i just bought a new lcd monitor. i'm running win xp. i was just wondering if there was anything i need to change with it now to make it look better. looks pretty good now but i think there is somehting like true type or whatever that makes the print look sharper.

please let me know if anyone has any idea of what i'm talking about

thanks

look around for something to enable sub-pixel rendering. A believe a another name for it is Cleartype. It's a feature tha does soem blending between pixel elements on an LCD. From the screen shots I've seen, it's totally worth it, but it doesn't work on CRT screens like mine so I have no 1st hand info on how goo dit is.

found a link, check it out: http://grc.com/ctwhat.htm

Go to properties, appearance, effects, and check "clear type"

If you want to tweak XP go to
Start/control panel/system/advanced/performance

thanks,

i'm considering not even trying it because i like the way it looks now. but i might as well, i guess.

thanks for the links.
