leadtek 7800 gtx

O.K, I have seen a leadtek 7800 GTX on e-bay (auction ends in less than an hour!!!)

I have also found the Arctic Cooling NV Silencer (the cooler used on the ASUS EN7800GTX TOP edition.)

My question is this:

How well does this card overclock? I have heard of some awsome performance gains through OC'ing but never with a leadtek.

Any help greatly appreciated.

It depends on your starting clock speed, the 7800 GTXs that I've seen won't overclock past 500 MHz on the core. If the card starts out at 450 MHz you might see a 10% overclock, but if it starts at 490 like the Asus Top card, it's effectively overclocked already. The Leadtek should still give you extremely fast performance, even at stock speeds.

I hit 590MHz on my Leadtek GTX's, but this was one of the limited edition cards that used the same HS that 512MB GTX's have.

I do have a very basic water cooling kit (it's my first w/c kit so i didn't want to spend too much money at first) so the card is more than likely going to be water cooled some time after x-mas - so that should help me out somewhat.

How would I go about overclocking this card?

Edit:

I won the auction on e-bay for the 7800 GTX - retail for around £360 (around $640).... i got it for £280 ($500) with delivery, original box, driver C.D etc.
