I recently saw this in PCworld magazine.
They have flexible snakeing 15inch extensions that draw their power directly from your USB port. They also have a fan with soft rubber blades that arent damging to you or your computer but give a nice breeze. And at 14 bux a pop they cant be beat, its not worth your time to make your own.

some guy made one in the Alternative modding forums a short while ago, his looked good

yeah i totaly understand that, but for someone who wants a really profesional look and not have to spend time on it, its a pretty good deal. also it would be cool if someone modded the lamp for different color LED's
