Im not sure if this qualifys as a cyber deal. I have circuit city ad in front of me.

52/32/52 lite on cd burner for 19.99 after rebates. you get a 30 rebate from manufactor and another 20 from circuit city for a total cost of under 20 dollars.

Im sorry if this isnt cyber deal material, but it seems pretty nice to me. Lite on is a good brand, has good speed and for 20 bucks after mir it makes a nice gift.

I really don't like rebates. Why pay money if they are just going to give it back to you? I don't get it. Or do enough people not do the rebates so they make a profit?

In case you're like me and don't like the idea of going further into debt to learn to think like someone else, you're right -- not enough people return the rebate forms and the company also uses your money to buy other items to stock their shelves i nthat 1-2 month period between your purchase and their rebate issuance.

- 30 man mir
- 20 circuit city mir

so its 19.99

best buys price is 59.99. 10 dollars less then circuit city. it doesnt matter what the "rebates" are. its what you pay in the store. you have to pay 70 at circuit city and 60 at best buy. they have to price match you.

None of these are "instant". Only when there is a instant rebate they will not pricematch.
