I have tried everything.... I have downloaded, installed and ran spybot, adaware. I have scanned the disk with Norton several times. I have reinstalled Norton, deleted all my cookies, temporary internet files.

Everytime I open Internet Explorer it brings me to a search screen, even though I do not have my homepage set on it. It also brings up a pop up screen where it says in the title

"Attention Internet Explorer User"
"Warning: Spyware viruses are using your computer for... replication.
"You might want to keep them off: Spyware removal

Then it has some little viruses "doing it" in the screen. It is actually kinda funny the first time you see it, but very anoying and I can not find out where or whats creating it. Also when I click on the link provided it brings me to http://s13ds.d8t.biz/search.php?pin=23&index_id=303&ww=spyware+remover

Anyone got any suggestions? Any information? Thanks in advance.

Also, it only does this when I initially click on the IE icon to open up my homepage. It runs its normal course while surfing.

Oh man, this is the newest IE hijack and the nastiest. It takes a couple of hours to undo this, so yeah, a fresh install is the best option. IF you want to try to remove this, do a google search for 'home search assistent' <--- yes assistent is spelled wrong like that. Also search the www.majorgeeks.com forum, they have people that have successfully removed this. This one really sux.

how about using TREND MICRO PC CILIN? thats a great program that not too many people know about. try that and see how it works out for you.
