Here is my proplem. My computer is takeing forever to detect my ide devces( one 60 gig samsung hdd and two cdrom drives), last time it booted up it took around 15 min. Also when playing games it randomly locks up. (I think that proplem is do to bad ram wich I tested and is bad and am getting it replaced).

Here are the specs on the machine.
Iwill kk233+ mobo
1.1ghz amd t bird
256 ram
340 watt power supply
60 gig samsung hd
aopen geforce 2 4mx
lucent chipset modem
genaric nic card.

I doupt it is the hdd drive becasue I took it off and put on a diferent one and it still takes a long time. Maybe it is the hard drive I don't know?:(

What Bios settings would you check? They all are detected and set. I also tried setting it back to defualt and that didn't help ether.

Tried two cables but will try some more.

The bios is all set, it decets everything there. jumpers are all set.

Will try another cable tonight.

Now it seems sometimes it takes real long and other times it boots up normal.
