I just re-assembled my set up, and it's chugging along fine. I'm using the new danger den waterblock, and the cooling cube, a eheim 1046 pump, and a 14oz nalgene water bottle for extra water. I've been running prime95 for a good 15 minutes so far, and it's stable at 30C. Now after a while, I'll try to see if this chip will take a 9.0x multipler (its a duron 750), its running right now at 8.5x. When air cooled, it would post, but thats it at 9.0x... I'll see

Its a wonder how noisy the fan on my Asus 7700 Geforce 2 is...either its that or the mobo. Something was noisy. 'Course the side of my case is still off too.

cheers!

I've got a sunon low cfm 120mm fan on the raditior. After listening to it, I think that nasty sound was the power supply fan starting up - it goes away after about 30 sec - the loud noise, the power supply is rather quiet after that point. Really odd.

As for stability, I got into windows fine at 9.0x103 (927), but falcon4 got really flaky (where as prime 95 was fat dumb and happy). I've noticed that my flight sims tend to really 'put the screws' to system stability, where as other 'heat testers' don't seem to. In response I've backed off down to 8.5x103 (893), voltage increases didn't seem to make much of a difference. Max temp (via mbm 5) was recorded at 35ºC during falcon4.

Today (along with studying for a physics mid term) I'm going to re-set the pump and water bottle, and hopefully close the case, then it should get really quiet ;-).

cheers!

Yeah ,ive had that problem too. The Psu fan was making noise in 1 minute and then getting quiet. i think the fanfins was nagging the Psu case because after i adjusted the psu its now quiet.
