SOLVED Looking for a new team....

I just dropped out of the www.amdmb.com team for various reasons and now scoping out some teams on the move. Planet 3D Now! was a thought but I don't speak German. I have visited this site regularly as I make my own water cooling stuff with my CNC mill and found good stuff here. I am a little disapointed by not being able to post a link to my website in my sig as it has a lot to do with stuff about this site. Namely water cooling, but that is ok.

One thing though is if I move here it will cause a 6,000 unit turn around as I have close to 3,000 units. Droping those from there and bringing them here will gain you 6,000 on them but I am not sure I want to do that while a race is going on. But I do not see to many other choices.

We would be more than happy to have another member. I really encourage you to join up and have some fun. Why don't you start by joining the team races? I cant wait for the next races to begin. Besides seti you will find a lot of other usefull infor here at OC. Stick around a while and see how you like it.

Well, rules are rules here and they've been that way ever since I can remember. Priviledges are earned in these forums and they aren't handed out at the drop of a hat. Some view this as very strict, others as very civil and gives them that extra little to strive for. We do have a space in user profiles to list a website that will cause a button to appear at the bottom of each post you submit. Pressing that button will bring up the page you specifiy. It's not the same as permitting a link in your signature, but it's all that we have to offer since there is a very firm stance against advertising without permission (I understand you are not advertising but it once was a problem in which everyone had to suffer for unfortunately).

We'd love to have you join our team, of course. 6000 WUs would definately be a welcomed addition and will help us all get one step closer to the top.

Well I don't don't believe in begging people to leave other teams for ours. All I'll say is if you want to move then we would be happy to have you as a member. I think what I enjoy most about our team is the community. The stats are nice too, but ultimately I'm not here just to watch us pass other Seti teams. I wouldn't want to see you join because it's the only option.

I only say that because in one of your posts you said you were staying with the team, and now you are looking to change to overhere.

I understand your reasoning behind being upstand, and I respect your decision to leave the forums. There has been a long discussion in the staff forum about the state of affairs with certain members, and quite frankly it has me a little p'd too. But swithing to OC, while these guys are cool, in the middle of a heated race is not cool, IMO. Regardless of what you decide, you will be missed at the Pond in a big way.

Well, it's basically your choice not ours but, out team has a great friendly atmosphere, fun events (Team Races), were an organised team with webpage updated daily, and were one of the hottest teams making big rank jumps.

PS:

I just checked your webpage after you had mentioned you weren't allowed posting in your sig, the Antec SX830 case mod project copper block looks very nice, also the Aluminum Block #3 looks very nice, basically the same thing just that aluminum.

Well Dave this is the reason I havn't joined here yet. I have about 3,000 units that would equel a 6,000 unit swing to this teams advantage(-3000 there +3000 here = 6,000 swing). Being all those units where crunched at amdmb from day 1 I am thinking about returning those units to amdmb and starting a new account here. Fair enough????

And I didn't think you guys where that worried about this team.

I sent Oldfrog my input on the situation there and I will not come back anytime soon if at all, some of the stuff PM'ed to me was by a certain senior seti team mebmber that claims to want to help the site cleanup but yet sends me a buch of BS that he clearly dosn't understand.

As for the rules here, maybe amdmb can learn from it. I understand the strict rules now more than ever. And I have no problem them. Would be kinda nice to have sig counters though, but I am working on one that may work as an avatar. Thanks for the comments from the overclockers. I will be considering my options through the day.

That would be the best decision by leaving those WU's there if they were produced on that team. I would do the same if i moved on.
