I just got done building a dual XEON system for the company I work for. The case came with these nice Delta fans, 4 total. They are pretty quiet but move alot of air.

Is there anyway to reference Delta's part# somewhere so I know I'm getting these?
Delta part# - AFB0812VH
80mm, 3 pin fan

38db is still kinda noisey. I would go with a few Panaflo's in place of air and silence :-0

Very True, If your gonna use the Delta for a Heatsink Fan. Go for it, I must have read the question wrong. But If you were gonna use it for a Case fan. For sure go with the Panaflo.

I have two of those Delta as case fans. They are on the baybus that came with my PC-61, so I crank them down to medium (7v, i'm assuming) and they are quiet. It also gives me the opportunity to crank them to 12v for games, or when ambient is high.

shouldn't be that bad at all. this equipment enclosed in an air conditioned room or something? just asking, but why the concern with how quiet?
Yes the room has A/C. This one is in my room. I already had a Delta 60mm on another system that would almost deafen you.

But I leave my system up all night. When think about 4 80mm fans purring away.....it can get loud. Though I can sleep through just about anything....
