i just recently bought a P8z77 LE pLus mobo and a i5 3570k after switching from amd. long story short i cant change the cpu multiplier in the bios.i can move it down and up but never past 34. yes i have ai tweaker on manual. and i also noticed i didnt have the turbo option on the list. the base clock i can change just not the X im running the current bios version 0606 and reflashed reset cmos. updated all other mobo drivers and i cant get the thing to budge. i got really frustrated and through my flash drive:facepalm:.i honestly dont know what else to do. has this happened to anyone else? anyone know something i couldve missed. it shouldnt be this hard but you never know. windows 7 was installed fresh since i switched from amd. not enjoying my time so far and i have contacted ASUS on the problem.:(:(

Disregard. Saw your post saying its the latest bios.

Does it have the easy overclock options? Forgot the exact Asus wording for it, but it should be some higher than stock settings. Any of those work?

i took some screenshots. idk just doesnt look right. i also noticed that my computer only reference 4 gigs of memory when i have 8 installed (4 x 2).
tired cmos reset and taking out memory. different bios versions.turbo has been on and off and auto sets to disable when i change (attempt) to change the X

thats crazy its should be in the main ss on manual

can you flash it to an older bios ?

STOP!!!! Changing the Bios just up date to the latest and leave it alone?? Your problem lies with you have not DISABLED THIS "ASUS MULTICORE ENANCEMENT" if you had watched my video post you would be OK to overclocking by now!! So go back watch the video now and read the Review i also posted. If your willing to do this then your OC will be easy. AJ.

p.s. Please accept this as help for you!

i never seen ASUS MULTICORE ENANCEMENT lol

so that need to be disabled to allow to set the multi correct ?

Most of your problem lies in the fact that you've purchased an Asus motherboard

lol sorry just had to get that jab in there, I hate Asus if you couldn't tell.

Can we get a CPUz screenshot?

Once the CPU Power Management--> CPU Ratio option is highlighted, use the +/- keys on the KeyPad to change the value.

Hey Redduc i have a lot of respect for you my man, but the problem lies with this. He has to Disable, Asus Multi Core Enancement in the Bios so he can use the Multiplyer to OC his set up its a new thing on Z77 Mobo's! In Asus boards if you watch the guy explain in the video in my post 5. You will clearly understand Redduc my friend. AJ. Best regards.

I asked for a CPUz screenshot, can't help without more information.

OP delivers

tried that already!

i appreciate the help Ajay and followed your instructions but disabling Xcore enhancement does nothing. i disabled it saved and reset thing still wont budge.

-im honestly just going to chalk this up as a bad Mobo.if you notice cpuz is the only software that acknowledges my 8 gigs of ram also. that is too many isolated incidents. ill keep trying any other suggestions for the time being but i did open up an RMA
