Since I have nothing better to do with my time I like to mess around with my computer... the hardware of course
anyways looking at my slotket I noticed plastic was covering the back.. so I thought to myself "hey that not right, its holding heat in.... and I heard cooling your back temps helps a lot"
So I took the plastic case off, now it is just a PCB that my Celeron2 633 @105 FSB is plugged right into....
So almost happy with what was their, once again I had an idea
So I angled one of my MANY case fans (that was blowing cold air in) so that it would blow this cold air directly onto the back of the card... and low and behold my temps went down
So now I get temps under seti@home full load from 33-36 C and that sure beats 38-40 C
So the moral of the story is... its is snowing outside right now... fist time this year and I live in Canada.. what gives with that?..
Whoops wrong moral..
Um Cooling your back temps lowers your temps and it can be done for free
