Hi there.

I'm suspecting I may have made a bit of a blunder, assuming that as a SAS controller, the 9260 would handle these drives.

The issue is that it sees them fine, during the boot-up and then in the GUI, but in both places, it only reports them as around 700Gb, not 6Tb.

In the boot stage, it shows them as 715395Mb and in the MSM it shows them as 698.125Gb., plus each drive has a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark in it.

I've tried to find an answer on the net, but am struggling, so am hoping someone here has some experience that may help either solve it or get me going.

Seems like it's to do with the fact that the drives are natively 4kn (4K Native Sectors) but from what I can find, it seems that the 9260-8i should support them.

TIA

Is contacting LSI tech support an option?

Does the controller require a driver to be installed during the OS installation or is it a stand alone device?
