i have a program that i need to start automatically when my MAC is booted, how can i make this happen, i tried to put the file in the "launch" folder within the ctrl panel, but it does not start up automatically......
what shall i do?

Is it a program like the .app extension that mac uses or is this another kind of program ie. shell script or other executable? If it's a cli based program you may need to make it executable.
 
when i click on general info for the program, actually its a screen saver.... it says that the "kind" iz an "application program"
 
i do beleive i just found the solution i was lookin 4 all by meself!, i put it in the startup itemZ folder within the systems folder within the root of the drive, but tx n e ways!
pardon me... im new to the MAC world....i dunno the MAC is VERY fast, but im still more apt to the WindoZe based PC.....
