Mandrake 8.1 Log rotation error?

I'm curious, can someone tell me what exaclty this problem is and how to fix it -- or how to go about finding a fix to it?

This shows up in my logs nightly:

error: syslog:181 duplicate log entry for /var/log/syslog
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate exited with return code 1
