i downlaoded it installed it and it rebooted right and then i get no operating system foudn why is this

well i downloaded mandarkae 9.0 form linuxios.com or whatever and i put the cd in my labtop ran the sertup went smooth thewn it said finished and rebooted and boom says no operating system

Sounds like it didn't install a bootloader. Put CD1 in, and then choose to upgrade packages or somthing like that. Then just press ok at the packages/RPM screen then just press cancel when it tries to install them. Then you can click on the circle on the left side next to "install bootloader". The rest should be self explanatory.
I know those are sloppy instructions, but Its all off of memory.
