ok now i know that some people have had a problem with ps1/2 games appearing jaggy when played on the ps3, and all the people on the 'hate sony' bandwagon are really excited about this "problem" since that's just one more reason why the ps3 sucks. One person having this problem is a guy from this thread. I disproved his theory with this post playing the "worst of the worst" game. However, that still does not help him or the other people having this problem.

Well here is a fix for those that do have jaggy games. if you're playing a ps1/2 game on your ps3 and it appears "jaggy" then just use the composite cables and this will remedy your problem. easy enough?

on another note, if you are playing a game that supports progressive scan such as 'god of war' then all you have to do is enable progressive scan and it'll look fine. when i have progressive scan off in god of war it looks jaggy but turning it on is fine.

when you play games that support progressive it will be jaggy unless you enable it, on games that do not support jaggy, for me at least, they are fine. if they arent, just use composite :)

So your proposed "fix" is to go digging behind the TV and switching cables when you switch games? okay, sure....

as i said it's a manual fix, i've only heard of a small amount of people having this problem. if you have hdmi you can leave both plugged in and just switch.

or leave composite plugged in and component and just switch the av multi out on the back of the console.

i mean are you that lazy that you can't hook up multiple inputs at one time?

seriously if your tv is good enough to have component or hdmi hookup's it's going to have more than 1 composite input so just be smart about it and stop trying to nit pick a solution to a "problem" a select group of people are having and say something like "hey that's a good idea."

i thought this forum promoted q&a not a bunch of crying when someone has a solution to something.

...or go buy PS1 & PS2 for cheap.

yes you could do this, if you already have a ps1/2 and want to have an extra system hooked up.

but that's real silly because if you think about it, if you are having this problem then you obviously ponied up the money for the component or hdmi cables at some point so keeping the composite on standby, which come with the system........................, seems very sensible

more sensible than going out and buying a $100+ ps2 or however much a psx costs. as i said this is a manual fix and it's FREE

*Oni checks the thread title.

Nope, no mention of the Wii in it. There is however mention of the PS3. Let's keep this thread on topic. I don't want to have to send out any more warnings or edit any more posts.

Decent idea, you could just leave the plugs in all the time and when you switch the game switch the wire in the back of the PS3, would take maybe 5 seconds total.

big 10-4 on that, and if you are using hdmi just set the video out from the system settings :)
