Mass Pending Credits

Must have over 200 WUs in a status of Pending (150 for over a few days). Doing a little over a WU an hour w/Hyperthreading and the overclocking. A few ARE showing credit, but more than the Claimed Credit noted (however not nearly enough to offset everything in Pending status). And I won't even go into missing SETI Classic credit... nightmare there (3000+ missing WUs under BOINC - more than 1/3 overall).

In short, how long does it generally take for credit to be GRANTED on WUs?

Just got going w/BOINC about 2 weeks back, and am new to it.

Actually, it happens on SETI classic, and has been happening for five years, it's just that nobody notices since we give credit first before validating. In fact, classic can't catch up until after it shuts down for good.

So this has been a problem since the begining except that now credits aren't handed out till after they are validated, as opposed to classic that gave it out upon upload.

So you can wait it out, or you can also join up with a second BOINC project. All BOINC credits are combineable, http://www.boincstats.com/ does a good job of this. Just make sure if you go this route that at least one PC is running both projects so your "Cross Project Identifier" can sync up.

It is also worth noting that they 'hope' to stay caught up with BOINC validation (in fact in general they have been able to keep up, last 3 weeks notwithstanding). There will be a series of outages starting on monday in an effort to address the issue you point out.

In general, when the queues are flowing "normally" it takes 2-4 days for credit to be granted (This has been my experience anyway) on a returned WU.

Got it - thanks. Will wait a couple of weeks and see if they show.

Guess with all of the participants, and all of the optimized clients etc out there, must be a flood of results to process.

Yep. I have ~1090 wu's waiting to be validated, which is worth ~15,726.29 pending cs. lol

BTW, I love that pending credit script.
