I have a chance to get the above mentioned in title for a very nice price. (Free) It will be replacing my I5 2500K ASRock P67 Pro3 B3 board which has served me well for several years. Would it be worthwhile to keep Hero board or get another compatible board? I am asking as this was recently replaced on original owners machine.... Overall, do not know why it was replaced or what if any problems there have been, just wondering if it is worth it or not to use as replacement or spend a couple bucks getting a different Mboard.

Thanks

Can't have a 2500K on a Z87 board, but if it's free then take it and upgrade then sell your old parts.

sorry P67, been a long while since I looked inside or thought about more than the 2500k as it was not broke, so why fix it.

I see no reason not to keep the HERO, mine's been running my 4790k at 4.8 no sweat.
