Very cheap deal popped up near me. I have google fiber and the modem/router that comes with it. I have the modem/router in the center of my home and it works 100% in my home. It does become weak at the far edges, but works well enough. When I am out in my yard it still connects to internet, but it is so week it should change to cell signal. I think this should help. Also see note about neighbor below.

I plan to hard wire one upstairs in my daughters closest. Cat5 already run there.

Then just plug in power into one in my attach near my attic fan, there is an outlet. (Attic fan not to be confused with whole house fan) Attic fan is right by the gable (open edge of my attic)

I might put the 3rd and last unit in my neighbors home because her internet sucks floppy donky noodle. When I go over there to "NetFlix and Chill" the jaggies of her streaming drive me crazy. Her home network is unable to change due to work from home free internet plan/firewall. It is 20Mbps down and 6Mbps up on a good day.

Mine is 500up/down.

Thinking even a weak signal from me might be better. If not then I will just have 3 mesh thingies in my home or sell one.

Older model, but still supports AC1200, so that's decent. I asked seller to send me pic of model to make sure it will work. But not sure why it would not. $15 x 3 is only $45 and I bet he would take $40.

Thoughts, ideas. Part of me just wants something to play with.

Thank you,

Pinky

Personally I hate Mesh because it takes all the problems of wireless and doubles them IMO. I prefer POE Access Points for everything because they really work, and can do far more than mesh devices.
