Now that I have adjusted to the current version I will probably hate it when the next one comes out. The really big nerfs/changes they keep doing drive me nuts.
Some great folks (and many asshats) playing this mod though. One really great map with a great team makes up for a lot of poor battles.

Funny you should say that. .4 is out, and Crysis Warhead (including Wars) is on sale for $5 on steam the same day the new patch launches.

Yup. Warhead is the single player part, the mod just uses the multiplayer component, Wars. No need to install both.

Crysis is a terrible game?
Once you get good at it, it's like being the predator in Predator. How much funner could it get? I played through the first Crysis on hard several times and loved it. Warhead not so much. Crysis is spectacular IMO.

Time to check my heatsinks before firing my lasers again LOL. I can't wait. Hasn't been a good mech game out since Mechwarrior 4 and Black Knight.

yeah i uninstalled crysis and installed crysiswars cus i figured it would take up less hdd space. dunno if it did or not... are the servers for crysis mwll and crysis wars mwll the same?

They have really screwed up the transfer to Wars. I would give them a few weeks to hopefully get their act together and maybe make a descent installer. Not holding my breath though.

But me and you have the patience and knowledge to tinker and spend hours getting crap working. To get anyone else to play that is joe average, it's just not possible.
They worry about fixing the stupid things in game rather than get a good WORKING game first. Trying way to much to make the next battlefield game rather than make a good Mechwarrior/Battletech game. Not sure they ever really wanted to.

Worked just fine for me with no tinkering. Most of the install and run issues are caused by Crysis/Wars and Gamespy/EA, not the mod itself.

i hope they make a single player campaign eventually. prolly after they feel they've ironed out all the kinks and balancing.

It's a beautiful, fun game. Sorry you don't like it or had trouble getting it working. Remember it's both free and in beta.
