MW4 Mercenaries was probably the best of the modern mech games. I always chose the Wolf's Dragoons and I think you know why. My favorite part was when I took that Jade Falcon as my bondsmen :D.

OK, it includes a compiled version. Full game, no need to install VC++ or XNA or anything.. download and play.. Cool.
 
I got to admit I really only played MW4:Mercs for the PC but played Mech Assault 1/2 on the Xbox.

But I really liked playing the huge death matches in Mercs so although I had my Atlas I'm still running against Fafnir's and Mad Catz and every other ridiculous assault mech. Then you have a couple on you at the same time!

Battlemaster is not an Atlas. Atlas is a 100 ton mech, Battlemaster 85 tons. I kinda prefer the Battlemaster, it still has decent armor, moves faster (most variants, anyway - they may all be 4/6 in fact, while the Atlas AFAIK is all 3/5,) and can still kick some butt at close-mid range - PPC, 4 front and 2 rear mounted ML's, SRM-6, 2 MG's.. Searchlight..

For the record, Mechassault 1/2 on XBOX were sorry pieces of garbage, never played MW4 on PC, but I read up on it before making the decision not to buy - they oversimplified things just a little TOO much.. Didn't like MW2 either. MW3 was hella fun though, and of course the original rocked.

Wonder how Mechcommander is? Never tried those.

As far as the mod it sounds great, but it isn't gonna be for UT2004 or UT3. So I won't be playing it.....
 
OMG!!! Dude, I'm about to go into convulsions!! OMG!! Have any of you seen the NUKES in Crysis? This is going to be the best mod in the history of mods!! I was a Mechy from the beginning. Haven't played it in years, but I have a feeling that I'm gonna be purchasing flight sim gear all over again once this is mod is released.

There are no words for my excitement!! I'm flippin out! I gotta show my cousin! He's gonna give birth to a pair of jump jets when he hears about this!! Damn I bet even my old boss will flip out when he gets wind of this!!

Sorry to act like a 14 year old on ritalin, but this is the coolest crap ever and I'm very excited! I think I was actually 14, and on ritalin, when I started playing this game. LOL. Bro in-law's cousin gave me his unopened copy of MechWarrior for free YEARS AND YEARS ago, and I used to play it for, sometimes, 8-10 hours at a time.

I'm going to contact the modding team and tell them that if they need ANY help with promotional photoshopped pictures or videos, that my services (xilix Productions) are available to them, free of charge! Anything to help this mod get the attention it deserves and maybe even get them some donations.

MW3 was hands down the BEST MechWarrior game
 
I don't think they would, development is already underway on the CE2 mod so it would be A LOT of work to go onto UT3, but heh ask them if you want the true answer :)

Seriously though, Mech 2 and Mercs were the sickest games ever. I still have the opening videos for those two games stuck in my head. But the best opening video was the one for Mechcommander 1..."uhh, sir, I do NOT have jumpjets"...then the Mad Cat gets hit from behind...EPIC!!!

I love the mechwarrior 2 intro and I think it's great that even well into mechwarrior 4 they were still using fmv when most games had stopped using it a long time ago.
